good stuff, his vocal inflection on columbia is something that really needs to be heard, the only thing needed is Mario Jauregui on quinto!!!!

unless he is already on quinto....

Haha I know, I keep hoping someone will come along someday and definitively put names to all these faces.

Great video clip. El Goyo's vocals are masterful, the dancers are good, but the quinto player is outstanding. Hard to tell even on the downloaded video, but that does look a lot like Mario Jauregui on quinto. He is playing real hard, and playing to the dancer in a way you rarely see anymore.
By the way, the audio/visual timing is much better on the downloaded MP4 video, but there is no sound on the right channel.

Great info! I am currently living in Philly, PA, USA. I am a Cuban Master Percussionist, I studied with el Goyo and Pelladito at the Instituto Superior de Arte, I was one of the few Cubans that had the opportunity of having these guys coming to teach us at the school once a week (EVERY WEDNESDAY from 4 to 6pm). It is funny, all the information you have posted is correct, that is the way I learned. Also in 2000 I was on tour with Chiqui, Mr. Jorge Dixon, a former dancer with the National Folkloric. He is now living in Sweeden, his dancing skills still sharp.
Also on my site www.JRCUBA.com, I mentioned my teachers names and I am very honored to have share all my years at the university with them.
To Mr. Gregorio Hernandez and Justo Pelladito, Un ABRAZO!
Cuco.
